📑Web 1.0 – Static Web (1989 – 2005)

Web 1.0 can simply sum up to “the read-only” website. It is the earliest form of the internet, consisting of a few people creating web pages and content and web pages for a large group of readers, allowing them to access facts, information, and content from the sources. 

💻Web 2.0 – Social Network (2005 – 2020)

Web 2.0 is an era where we become “creators and readers”.Information flows between the site owner and site users using evaluation & online commenting. Furthermore, the evolution of the smartphone facilitates users to access the internet from everywhere, which has evolved into “Social Media”. We are free to chat, trade and exchange while the service provider still owns data on the platform.

 

🌐Web 3.0 –  Decentralization (2020 – Now)

Web 3.0 is today’s era where the computer is getting closer to the human brain. Plenty of New technologies arise from these evolutions, such as Machine Learning (ML), Big Data, AI, and Blockchain, that are decentralised, safe and private. 

We are now living in a moment where humans grow together with technologies which seamlessly connect everyday life, such as digital assets like Cryptocurrency and NFT or Metaverse that we can Play-to-earn like Axie Infinity and The Sandbox.
