ApeCoin (APE) is the ERC20 governance and utility token of the APE ecosystem, home to iconic NFT collections including, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC). APE can be used to reward NFT owners and project developers, participate in the ApeCoin DAO, and access exclusive areas of the APE ecosystem, such as Otherside, a P2E metaverse project set to launch in April 2022.
The total supply of APE is fixed at 1 billion tokens, of which 62% are allocated to the ecosystem fund, 16% to Yuga Labs and Charity, 14% to Launch Contributors, and 8% BAYC Founders.
